VEMCO Supports Education with Scholarships



Late winter and early spring is the time of year when many universities award their scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year.  For the past 16 years, VEMCO has been providing scholarships to deserving students at several Atlantic Canadian educational institutions and has committed to continue its scholarship program through 2023. Here is a summary of the scholarships and institutions VEMCO currently supports:

  • Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The VEMCO Scholarship for Marine Biology is awarded to a student entering the final year of the Marine Biology degree program.
  • Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia – The VEMCO Entrance Scholarships are awarded annually to two students entering the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program.
  • Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, Newfoundland – The AMIRIX Systems Inc.* Scholarship in Computer Engineering is awarded to a student entering the final year of the Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree program.
  • Nova Scotia Community College, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The AMIRIX Systems Inc.* Entrance Award is awarded to a student entering either the Electronic Engineering Technician or the Electronic Engineering Technology program.
  • University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, New Brunswick – The Dr. Douglas G. Pincock** Electrical Engineering Scholarship is awarded to a student entering the third or fourth year of study in the Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree program.
