New President and CEO Appointed to VEMCO
Thursday, November 1st, 2012
Board Chairman Dr. Douglas Pincock is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Jollymore as the next President and CEO of AMIRIX Systems Inc. and its operating division, VEMCO, effective November 1, 2012.
Mark has been with the organization for over 12 years and has held a variety of positions with the company ranging from Regional Manager to Director of Customer Support to Vice President Administration. As President and CEO, Mark will build on the current success of its acoustic telemetry fish tracking and monitoring technology.
“To be appointed to the helm of such a wonderful organization is a great honour and responsibility,” said Jollymore. “With the backing of a very supportive Board, a strong, cohesive management group and dedicated, conscientious employees, we as a team have a very exciting future ahead of us.”
Mark has the challenge of filling the formidable shoes of Sandra Greer who led the transition of the organization from a design services firm to a thriving product company with global reach.
“The last ten years have been the most rewarding of my career and after making the decision to move on, I am delighted to hand the reins (I am keeping my shoes!) to Mark Jollymore,” said Greer. “Mark has what it takes to move us beyond where we are today and, as a shareholder, I will be cheering him and the rest of the team on from the sidelines.”
“We will always be very grateful for the tremendous contribution Sandra made during her ten years as CEO as she built the company into the success it is today with a strong and growing international presence,” said Pincock. “And we have every confidence that Mark’s leadership capabilities will carry that legacy forward.”
