VEMCO Invites You to Try the Latest VUE Software Beta Version 2.0

VEMCO is very pleased to offer you the advance opportunity to test drive the latest version of VUE software, Beta Version 2.0, which boasts a number of new features and enhancements over the current VUE 1.8.x version.

A Whole New Look and Feel
The first thing users will notice when launching VUE Beta 2.0 is it doesn't bear any striking resemblance to its predecessor. Developed with a new user interface, it now has the same overall look and feel as Windows 7. And since VEMCO software designers have separated the database interface to the receiver, it is no longer necessary to open a database to offload data thus speeding up the offload process.

New Residency Search Tool
A major addition to VUE Beta 2.0 is the new Residency Search tool. This allows users to take very large datasets and quickly reduce them down to information that is much more meaningful. With a few search parameters and the touch of a button, you can know almost instantly when an individual or group of fish arrived at a specific site, how long they stayed and when they left.

Support for VR4-UWM Receivers
VUE Beta 2.0 also supports and is required for the new VEMCO VR4-UWM receiver. Data from VR4-UWM receivers can be retrieved through an acoustic modem and the receivers are intended to be deployed for greater than 5 years.

Before Beta Trial, Always Backup!
As you may know, with any Beta product and despite rigorous testing done in-house, it is possible that you may find some deficiencies in the product. VEMCO cannot stress enough how very important it is that you always back up your database(s) before doing any work on them in VUE Software Beta Version 2.0.

Also please note that the installer does NOT overwrite VUE 1.8.x so users can have both installed at the same time. However, if users toggle back and forth between the two, some application settings will be lost when returning to VUE 1.8.x.
