The common transmitter diameters are 7 mm, 9 mm, 13 mm and 16 mm. A 22 mm diameter continuous transmitter is also available. The larger diameter pingers have more power but also weigh more than the little pingers. The pinger size used depends on a number of factors, including the size of the animal carrying the pinger.
