Transmitters

VEMCO provides a variety of pingers and data telemetry transmitters used for tracking and monitoring fish in short and long term residency and migration studies. Coded transmitters are available with over 192,000 unique IDs and can be detected with a variety of receivers including the low cost, long life submersible VR2 and the powerful DSP based VR100. Additionally, VEMCO offers continuous pingers for real time experiments where the scientist needs to track individual animals from a boat. Our transmitters are potted in cylindrical shapes of five standard diameters, with electronics and battery sealed in epoxy to survive underwater at high pressure
