The VEMCO product line contains a family of transmitters with thousands of unique ID codes, environmental and physiological sensors, multi-year life options and a variety of sizes suitable for animals from whales to salmon smolts. VEMCO also has a line of receiving instruments to detect the transmitters including high performance DSP-based tracking receivers to low cost, long life, submersible monitoring receivers. The transmitters and receivers together form a network of equipment that can be used worldwide to gather extensive data about marine animals. VEMCO products are designed so that all receivers can detect all transmitters thus allowing researchers the world over to collaborate on multiple species, share data and leverage each others equipment.
