Introducing the V9AP Coded Sensor Transmitter

The V9AP Accelerometer Pressure transmitter is the newest addition to the VEMCO family of coded sensor transmitters. The V9AP transmits 3D acceleration and depth of your fish as it moves within your VEMCO receiver array. The animal's acceleration signal is measured in terms of g force (units) and it is a vector quantity that is a result of measuring acceleration on three axes (X,Y,Z). This acceleration value can be used as a measure of activity of a free ranging animal in nature. This tag could be used in an almost endless variety of applications that require any measure of animal activity. Applications may include detecting mortality through predation, seismic blasting, toxic spills, feeding events, spawning activity, nocturnal/diurnal activity, wave action and activity responses to changing oxygen, salinity and temperature in the environment.

The V9AP can be detected using the VR2-VR4 passive receivers, the VR28, VR100, VR60 (with Option 07 version 2.01) receivers, or the VRAP system.
