Issue 10, December 2009
VEMCO has introduced a new coding technique that allows for tens of thousands of unique sensor IDs. Prior to this, VEMCO had been limited to 256 unique sensor IDs (S256). VEMCO has managed this limited resource through geographic separation of studies and by adding an R64K transmitter ID to each sensor transmitter that it sells. Now with our new Global Sensor tags, VEMCO customers can get sensor data on each transmission and can remove all ambiguity between sensor transmitter IDs. To use Global Sensor Tags, users must configure their VR2Ws and VR100s with MAP-112. Global sensor tags are available now. Please contact your VEMCO sales representative for further details. Note: VEMCO Global Sensor Tags cannot be detected by VR2s. VR2s can be returned to VEMCO to be upgraded to VR2Ws and MAP-112 under the VEMCO VR2 Upgrade program. Please contact your VEMCO sales representative for more details.
