Winner of the VR100 Tracking Receiver at AFS AGM 2008

At the 2008 American Fisheries Society (AFS) Annual General Meeting, a VR100 Tracking Receiver donated by VEMCO was featured as one of the grand prizes at their raffle. The winner of this year's draw for the VR100 was Richard Remnant, Senior Fisheries Biologist, Principal with North/South Consultants Inc.

Richard has recently participated in the design, planning, and implementation of fish habitat and fish population components of several large projects related to past or potential hydroelectric development in northern Manitoba, Canada.

VEMCO also held a booth draw for two prize packages that included a VEMCO ball hat, multi-tool and 1G flash drive. The two winners were Amanda Higgs, Hudson River Estuary Program, New York, and Even Moland, Institute of Marine Research, Norway.
